DateKhaas uses a thoughtful, Islamic-values-based matching system. Unlike casual dating apps, our process is designed for serious marriage seekers and their families.
Step 1: Discover Profiles
Go to the Discover page from the navigation bar. Here you will see profile cards of potential matches. By default, we show you profiles of the opposite gender based on your own profile information.
Each card shows the person's name, age, city, sect, and a compatibility score. You can browse by swiping through cards, or scroll down to see the "Recommended for You" grid.
Step 2: Send an Interest
When you find someone you would like to connect with, swipe right or tap the heart button. This sends them an Interest — think of it as saying "I am interested in getting to know you for marriage."
The other person receives a notification and can view your full profile before deciding.
Step 3: Wait for a Response
You can track all your sent interests on the Interests page under the "Sent" tab. Each interest will show one of three statuses:
- Pending — They have not responded yet
- Accepted — They liked your profile too! It is a match!
- Declined — They were not interested at this time
Step 4: It is a Match!
When both of you express interest in each other, you will see a beautiful "It's a Match!" celebration screen with both your photos. A special match sound plays to make the moment memorable.
Both of you are now connected and can start chatting.
Step 5: Start a Conversation
After matching, go to the Messages page. Your new match will appear in the conversation list. Tap on their name to open the chat and send your first message.
We recommend starting with a warm Salaam and something specific from their profile — this shows genuine interest and leads to better conversations.
