DateKhaas chat is designed to be safe, respectful, and feature-rich. Here is everything you can do in a conversation.
Starting a Conversation
You can only message someone after you have both matched (mutual interest). Go to the Messages page and tap on a match to open the chat.
Messages are delivered in real-time — you will hear a notification sound the moment a new message arrives.
Voice Notes
Sometimes typing is not enough. Press and hold the microphone button to record a voice message, then release to send it. The other person will see an audio player and can listen to your message.
Photo Sharing (Consent-Based)
Photo sharing in chat requires mutual consent. Tap the camera icon and send a photo sharing request. The other person will see a prompt asking them to approve. Only after they accept can you exchange photos in chat.
This system ensures that no one receives unwanted images.
Phone Number Sharing
When you are ready to take the conversation outside DateKhaas, you can request to share phone numbers. Like photos, this requires the other person's consent. Once they accept, your actual phone number from your account is shared.
Deleting Messages
Long-press on any message you sent to see delete options:
- Delete for me — Removes the message from your view only. The other person can still see it.
- Delete for everyone — Permanently removes the message for both of you.
Muting a Conversation
If you need a break from notifications for a specific conversation, tap the three-dot menu in the chat header and select "Mute notifications." You will still receive messages but without sound alerts.
Chat Transcript to Guardian
If you have a Wali (guardian) set up on your profile, tap the three-dot menu and select "Send transcript to Wali." This emails the last 24 hours of messages to your guardian, keeping them in the loop.
